5/31/13 I’ve been in involved with the Relay For Life fundraiser for a long time. I think back to when my friend Cathy asked me to help in this event and it just felt like I was helping her out. Over the years my role in the event has increased to this year where i played and talked for half of the event. One of the top enjoyments for myself in my life is to entertain others . This year I felt like I had an impact on cancer and that’s an overwhelming feeling. It’s nice to be apart of event where the dedication and commitment to not just putting on an event but going over the top and making it successful.  My goal was to perform at a high level and stay awake the entire event and I did that.

I decided to split the Fundraiser into sections.

This was my second time working the event and splitting the time with fellow dj Sam Santiago.  No ego’s here Sam is a very nice guy and talented performer. With mutual respect for each other we shared the stage and covered many musical genre’s. Sam started the event with the Opening ceremony and music from 6-8pm.  I took over from 8-10pm which included the illuinatry ceremony and the starting laps on the track. Sam resumed at 10-12pm which included the group invovlement dances which I have video of below.  I was back from 12-3pm where we did my favorite musical chairs, and some other games including pop balloon relay which was a new game that went over well.  Sam came back to wrap the event up.
