It was a scorching day to dj block party in Mt Sinai.  I walked into this party with alot of unknowns with no list, i really didn’t know what to play.

 But the block party is like that lots of people with different tastes.

They made it easy play music for the kids.  Ok easy enough.  Playing music was easy but i wasn’t prepared  for the amount of games they wanted to play.   It was hot so i paced myself the best I could levitating circle, water sponge contest, egg toss, hula hoop contest, mummy wrap.   The kids were very witty and not the best listeners but we triumphed through and i think everyone had a good time.   I have to say that egg toss really doesn’t work in the block party format.   Controlling 60 people was a monumental task.  Broken egg yoaks on the street cleaned up by bleech wasn’t fun breathing in either.

Very hot day to Dj wedding in Watermill. I’ve been fortunate in my life to play in some amazing spots like on a cruize ship, and at the beach and some amazing venue’s but this was definitely my 1st time playing on someone’s roof, and i wasn’t even completely on top  as is explained in the captions of pictures.

The day was certainly a challenge as it was extremely hot.  I got to the house and i was in need of some items.    I setup my equipment and started playing music and went to a mix right away as i had to go to the store and purchase an umbrella and a fan, water, sun tan lotion and ice. Â

I started with some classic rock then i went to disco, R&B and i ended with some current dance music.  I had the opportunity to walk around and enjoy some delicious food and got to dunk myself in the pool and enjoy the company of  some very easy going fun people.

We were celebrating a graduation party and birthday party today. The first party began at 2pm and i played until 6pm but there was a problem, i was only supposed to play for three hours but my sheet said four. I requested payment for four hours but i left with only three hours of pay. I don’t run into pay disputes alot but i must say that I got taken advantage of.  I recommend all dj’s carry a written contract on them so if there is a dispute over pay (which rarely happens)  you have a sheet of paper that proves your case.

Taylor Graduation party June 26th 2012

It was a beautiful day for a graduation party in Miller Place.   This was my first time visiting the Miller Place Surf Club and I must say that it was a nice venue.  Try their steak it’s amazing.  Anyway being inside on a beautiful day has it’s challenges.   I was delighted when i was able to bring my speaker outside, a little bit disappointed that i was unable to go outside due to some noise restrictions in Miller Place.  This was my 2nd time Dj’ing for the Taylor family and there really nice people.  I think i made the most out of my day .  We played alot of country, but we cranked it out with some latin, dance, and club.

I was excited to hear that the Communion was going to be outside, disappointed it was only gonna be 3 hrs.  No paper work was welcome because I’ve done this three times in a row.  Lol i don’t need instructions. Let’s rock. At start time there weren’t too many people there.  On Sunday parties people will normally arrive late. So I started differently and i wanted to rock so that’s what i did. We started with Rock and alternative music I rarely play.

An hour and half later we started the Communion games

It was a beautiful day for Communion.  You won’t say this often in May but it was too hot to be outside.

Thankfully this communion was inside at the Knights Of Columbus in Northport

I had a little difficulty finding the place as I had to cut through a back alley to find the venue.  I arrived super early and i slowly set everything up. I had to run out for batteries. Surprisingly the 7-11 in Northport didn’t have AA batteries. FAIL.  More on that later.  These kids were not shy as they wanted to start the games right at the start. Ok, so let’s go.  I played more games on Saturday then i ever had before. It was levitating circle, freeze dance, musical chairs, red light green light, scavenger hunt.

After a short recess for food we continued the communion with Mummy wrap, and tv trivia.

We also played these songs. Just when it was time to play music, I took the light out and we had the whole place rocking with this playlist.
