Life as pro dj, sometimes you have to work the holidays. It’a apart of the job being an entertainer . Twas the night before Dj’ing and all through the house.
A pro DJ played music as loud as mouse.
The stockings were filled with music and cheer. In hopes that someone would bring me a beer. The crowd was loud and filled with glee. Knowing soon Djdealeyo will run the party. They danced and moved to the beat. They could not stop moving there feet. They ate and talked and stuffed there faces. They tightened up their shoelaces. They asked for the music to be louder
Ok enough poetry. I was nervous all day i’ve never performed a gig with uncertainty . A big part of it was I did Christmas with my family and decided to work as well. I was scheduled for two hours and i knew ahead of time that there was not going to be any OT. I had no idea what i was going to play but i felt a little at ease when we talked about it ahead of time. So i started with some house music, and fast and furiously ran through dance, latin, bachata, cumbia, oldies, and some current pop, disco. These people were ready to dance we did the Cupid Shuffle, and Cha Cha Slide. 3 people requested mambo number 5 but when i played it no one danced. ODD lol …
I was a true pro dj that night traveling from Ronkonomkoma, to Smithtown and then to Miller Place
My music library still has alot of gaps in it as i continue to recover from loosing all my music. It’s always my duty as a long island dj to provide entertainment even during the holidays. Very nice people, they took really good care of me and i appreciate it. Working on a holiday was a bit more rewarding when the people are happy and they show their appreciated. Another party mobile dj success.
Muy Buena pagina, gracias por la informacion, Arriba la musica Dominicana
