The #party was on. I had to setup my equipment early to do a prior commitment. When I arrived, i introduced myself asked what kind of music that I needed to play because I wasn’t given any info. Obviously the music tastes they had were something I wasn’t prepared for. It happens every once in awhile. So I played some mixes from Budda Bar as requested, and dinner music from Gypsy Kings. Took them awhile to sit down .I did some latin and some current pop after that . Not sure the clients knew what kind of music so they wanted and they weren’t able to verbalize it. The show must go on! Yes, I’ve been known to excel when i’m exhausted and this birthday party was no different. My friend Joe wanted me to come through and play at his party. I’m always down to play a house party where people like to dance and have fun. The party definitely lived up to the hype and i hit a grand slam as i ran through this list of songs. I got to sit out by the canal for a little bit before I headed to the 60th birthday party for Frank Zodl. I arrived to the house and i wasn’t sure to what to expect. I got to the house and I could barely get into the driveway. I smiled as I walked in and i saw alot of people of different ages having a great time by the pool. I was in such a good mood I started early. Very friendly group I think I met everyone who was there face to face. It was a share house party. I felt a bit over dressed but I couldn’t help but smile as i haven’t played for this kind of crowd in awhile and everyone was so great to me.
